Allotropy was first inspired by my PhD research—a time of pyrolyzing paper, making it carbonized and conductive, watching its properties transform entirely. But the painting evolved into something more personal. It's about recognizing that we are all the same essential element, merely structured differently—like carbon in its many forms. Our external geometry doesn't define us. Carbon allotropy demonstrates this fundamental principle: the same atoms—identical in proton count and electron configuration—manifest as diamond, graphite, or amorphous carbon depending solely on their crystalline lattice arrangement. But at the end, it's all carbon.
